I have seen 3 posts from the last few days asking if anything is working in outbound anymore.
Wondering whether outbound is dead.
Here’s the comment I made on one of them:
If you’ve been reading this newsletter, you know we don’t do hype.
We don’t talk about “revolutionizing” things. We don’t throw around AI buzzwords. We tell you what’s broken in GTM and what’s actually working.
So when I tell you TitanX just raised $27 million in Series A funding from Updata Partners, I want to be clear about what that means:
It means we were right.
Not in an arrogant way. In a validated way.
TitanX was built on a simple thesis: only 20% of any market will ever answer a cold call. The other 80% won’t, no matter how many times you dial, how fancy your tech is, or how clever your script.
Human communication preference - human behavior, even - is predictable. The question is whether you’re going to keep ignoring that or start using it.
Hundreds of customers, 250%+ YoY growth, and now $27M from Updata Partners: turns out the market agrees.
What changes for you?
Short answer: more.
More product development. Deeper integrations. Faster scoring. New capabilities we’ve been holding back until we had the resources to do them right.
And if you’re a customer: you already know what TitanX does for connect rates. Now imagine that engine with rocket fuel.
What doesn’t change?
Everything that made us worth betting on in the first place.
We’re still obsessed with customer outcomes. Still allergic to hype. Still believe that precision beats volume, that conversations beat dials, and that 97% of cold calls going to voicemail is a problem worth solving.
We grew to $5M+ ARR without running a single ad. Almost every customer came from word of mouth. Because when reps go from 3% connect rates to 25%, they tell people.
That’s not changing. Ever.
You already know what’s happening in GTM.
You know why this matters.
Email is - as far as large outbound teams and rep sequencing is concerned - crumbling.
LinkedIn - for high volume outreach - is throttled.
These things work but not at the scale they used to.
AI is accelerating SO much noise.
And the solution the market keeps selling you is to DIAL FASTER. SEND MORE. AUTOMATE.
You want to believe there is a different way.
There is.
The companies winning in 2025 and 2026 are the ones who figured out that the path forward is precision, not volume. They’re having more conversations with fewer dials. Building more pipeline with smaller teams. Scaling revenue without scaling headcount.
That’s the world we’re building. That’s what Phone Intent is. And now we have $27M to build it faster.
